We (I) have been fairly vague on this project. The reason is that during our tenure here we have experienced a serious lack of project completion from contractors. Our experience has been, pay up front, the they show up only one or two hours a day, then run out of money…. I waited until we are at this phase to actually explain who, what ,where and when. We interviewed and walked through this project with Darren Coats of Coats Construction. We had two projects. The mezzanine level in the shop and the stairwell, hallway, master bedroom and back bedroom remodel. We were presented two bids. Darren took time to determine what I would use the mezzanine for, then engineered it stronger. Darren presented us with a calendar showing 3 weeks of demolition, attic cleaning reassembly, Sheetrocking and finishing. We found issues in this job with previous contractor work. Darren took this in stride. We are so happy with our choice. We are also amazed but very happy with the care and attention to detail taken by the Coats Construction team. We have made new friends and after I get the painting completed this week, we should be cutting, staining and installing new trim.
